Research Vessel Observation Database

In order to promote open science and the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science, the observational data acquired in the framework of the joint use of research vessels are being made publicly available in accordance with the FAIR Principles on Data. Data acquired during the joint research cruises are currently handled in accordance with the policy set by the Joint Usage/Research Center for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (JURCAOS) and the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), with data from FY2019 onward being stored by JAMSTEC and released sequentially after the publication moratorium period has expired. Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute (AORI) is working on releasing the data especially before FY2019, while sharing information with JAMSTEC.
